ConFest 2018: Chicago is hosted in partnership with Victory Gardens Theater, Silk Road Rising, and DePaul University School of Theater. The theme Revolutionary Acts will engage people in passionate dialogues about social injustice and inequity in American culture and consider what we, as theater practitioners, can do about it.
For nearly 40 years the iO Theater has been the premier venue and training center for long form improvisation. Boasting a long list of notable alumni, including Mike Meyers, Tina Fey, Chris Farley, Adam McKay, Jordan Peele, Seth Meyers, Tim Meadows, Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, and many more, the iO Theater continues to be the training center for the country’s top comedic talent.
Stir Friday Night will be performing as a part of Steppenwolf’s performance series, LookOut.
The 23-year old Asian American comedy troupe presents the simplicity of “We Are Asian. We Do Comedy.” Amalgamated with music, sketch and improv, this performance will tell the theatrical tale of what it is to be a “model” minority.
